Never in my life did I think I could actually make my dream a reality. I’ve come so far from being in the Army for six years, then a nurse, a photographer, a physical trainer and now a writer. I spent years trying to find what sets my soul on fire when I knew what it was all along. It was as simple as reflecting on my past and making a list of what truly made me smile. It was writing!

Since I can remember, I’ve been writing short stories, signing up for creative writing classes, and found a sense of peace with creating a world I could escape in. I kick myself in the butt for not realizing it sooner, but now that I have, I’m never looking back. If I can find my purpose at the ripe age of 29 when I finally made the final career change, you can too.

I’ve been a reader since I could read. Which, fun fact I had to redo second grade because I couldn’t read properly. I had a severe speech impediment and was too embarrassed to ask for help. So, the eight-year-old second grader found herself repeating the grade and it was the best decision my parents made. My mom brought this to light a while ago when she said to me, “Becca I’m so proud of you. From that the little girl who couldn’t read or even say her name properly, has grown up to become a cull blown author. And a thriving author at that.”

We joke about this now, but it truly makes me laugh how the universe works sometimes. I hope I can inspire others to dig deep down in yourselves to find what gives you the warm fuzzies so you too can live out your dreams.

I know I’ve been sooooo terrible at keeping up with the website the past few years, but I will actively be working to get myself in gear to keep you all updated on all things author related.
